Chelsey Branham is a proud Chickasaw citizen, lifelong Oklahoman, and proven leader who has dedicated her career to building stronger communities and real solutions for working Oklahomans. Raised on a small family farm in Wellston, Chelsey learned early on that hard work, compassion, and service aren't optional; they’re part of who we are as Oklahomans.
Chelsey worked her way through college, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Religious Studies and Psychology, then a Masters in International Economics and Development. Her nonproft career took her from economic development work in Zambia to the YWCA of Oklahoma City, where she created job readiness programs that helped survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault rebuild their lives.
As a State Representative Chesey delivered results: passing legislation that put more money in Oklahomans’ pockets and strengthened partnerships between the state and Native Nations. Chelsey builds coalitions that get things done, including; relaunching the bipartisan Women's Caucus, working with the Native Caucus to advance legislation critical to the safety of Indigenous women, and working across the aisle to deliver common sense solutions. From criminal justice reform to economic development, Chelsey is not afraid to face our most challenging issues to find real life solutions.
Chelsey lives in The Village with her partner and their two children, where she is raising the next generation of Oklahomans. As the founder of One Whole Village Consulting, she helps Tribal Nations, entrepreneurs and small businesses create jobs that grow our economy. Chelsey is also an associate professor, teaching courses on Indigenous and public policy.
With nearly 20 years of experience and a proven record on stronger public schools, healthcare access, and developing economic opportunity, Chelsey has the experience and integrity to keep fighting for House District 85.
